Ever since the announcement, Trump received several wishes from across the borders praying for his speedy recovery. Whereas, the social media was abuzz with people wishing for his death and other hateful tweets.
However, twitter was quick enough to cut short the world embarrassment. Pointing to a policy made back in April, it has suspended many accounts on the basis of abusive behaviour. The social media site affirmed that it has zero tolerance towards hateful or harmful content.
“content that wishes, hopes or expresses a desire for death, serious bodily harm or fatal disease against an individual. Hoping that someone dies as a result of a serious disease” is listed as a specific example within the guidelines’ section outlining explanations of abusive behaviour.”
